Mission Statement

The National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET), founded in 2004, is a national organization dedicated to the professional development of special education teachers, general educators, related service providers, paraprofessionals, and others who support students with disabilities. NASET provides self-paced, online professional development in the content area of Special Education through an extensive catalog of courses and comprehensive professional certification programs covering IEP development, special education law and procedure (IDEA, Section 504, ADA), inclusive practices, autism spectrum disorder, classroom management, transition planning, and paraprofessional preparation. Select programs offer optional graduate-level semester credit through accredited university partners. NASET’s programs support educators seeking professional development and NASET holds continuing education approvals in multiple states and districts.
