Options for Children with Special Needs During the Summer Months

What to Do and What to Use

Parents of children with special needs may have many options over the summer months including extended school year services, a 12 month program, and camps for children with special needs, etc. However, there are many children with special needs who may be home for the summer and whose parents may want to work with them to maintain skills, increase social connections and learn new experiences. The purpose of this handout is to provide numerous sources of information for parents of children with special needs over the upcoming summer months.
